Weapon design for a current personal project that draws on Mesoamerican motifs for inspiration.
One of ten masterworks gifted to each member of the fabled Kingsguard, in this case to Ixmael the Stonemason. It was known as the Petrified Dagger for its ability to petrify victims, but Ixmael also discovered that it could be used to do the reverse, birthing life into constructs of stone.
His title came about due to his use of the dagger to create sentient golems such as his guardian, which can now be found laying dormant in his hidden grove, centuries later. During the kingdom’s collapse, Ixmael waged war against old brothers in arms by raising an army of stone from his petrified opponents.
